Quality portable air cleaners at affordable prices
should I buy a disposable air filter to use with the 15 year old electrostatic air cleaner attached to my furnace? I think it would do a better job eliminating dust in my house.
what do i need to do to clean the air filter on my tv and where is it located? I also would like to
know no If i could do this myself?
I am renting an apartment and the apartment is over a four car garage. All windows are east and west. Last summer, it was 90 degrees in here with the central air set to 70. Yesterday, the temperature was 74 degrees outside and 79 degrees inside. I can't repeat last summer... Any tips for keeping the air in? I hung a thick cloth curtain with fleece backing over the stairwell on a tension rod, I put in a clean air filter, and I used air deflectors to shoot the air out instead of up on the floor vents. Any tips? We have 4 sets of windows with blinds closed all the time during the summer. If you recommend additional insulation, where's the best place to put it? Above? Below? Around? Is it expensive? I absolutely love my landlords and don't want anything too costly for their sake. Thanks!
There is a door at the bottom of the staircase which opens into a hallway which opens to the garage.
How do you do it? I just bang it on the ground till most of the fluff comes off. But my vacuum is getting weak. The store is out of stock, and in the meantime I was wondering if anyone else had a good method for cleaning an air filter? Some kinda solvents, or something? Compressed air?
Even if replcing filters cost as much as bags, I would never dream of going back to a bagged vacuum. With two cats, I would need to use one or two bags every time I vacuumed. That's just crazy talk.
My motorcycles manual says to use a high flashpoint solvent to clean the foam air filter... i know not to use gas, but is kerosine a high flashpoint solvent?
My air filter was inserted incorrectly and now dirt particles are stuck in the heat pump coils. I only have a 4" space to run a vacuum across the coils. Other than to remove the duct work, how would anyone clean these return coils? Seems very dirty and difficult to access.
Recently got a dog and need an air filter to take care of any dander that is in the air. Any recommendations? Note: I wash the dog and clean the house but would like to invest in an air filter to keep the air clean. Also I love dogs and please do not post to get rid of it.

My 4.0 awd ohv is howling from the MAF sensor.I disconnected the junction btwn the air filter and it and sure enough it is coming from there.I hear nothing from the manifold area or IAC.It sounds like one of those phenonemas like rubbing a glass and making it humm but an altogether different sound.More like a fog horn.Any thoughts?All seals are good.
I want to put a cone air filter on my 1996 Honda Shadow vlx 600. I found a picture of the same bike with one on it at bikepics.com but I can't get ahold of the guy that did it. I'm pretty sure I have to modify the air cleaner box.
I have a 95 Dodge Intrepid and I need to change my air filter, but the screws on the housing won't come out because the inserts they are screwed into are stripped, so they turn but won't come out. Should I just try to drill through the whole mess and use nuts and bolts? Is there a trick I should know about?
I bought a used Yard King snow blower with an 8hp Tecumseh engine and it has no air filter or air cleaner assembly and I can't see how one would be mounted, there's not enough room. There is really no dust in the air when there's snow on the ground plus I'm wondering if an air filter would ice up or get clogged up with snow?
Hi everyone. On the right side of my 1983 Yamaha Virago, there is a small triangular box. Coming from that box are two tubes. I'm wondering if this is the air filter box?

It is not K&N, its a generic brand but it is reusable...
I have a 2004 softail springer fuel injected. I had some work done and had it serviced while it was in the shop. After riding a while I noticed oil on my timing cover. It is coming from the two small tubes on ether side of the air filter. I had to clean my air filter because it was full of oil to. Does any one know what is causing this?
Hey, I was wonding how to clean my BBK Air Filter from my Cold Air Intake. Is it just washable with water or w/e, or do i need to buy oil and stuff. I know the K&N ones need oil. but i cant find anywhere how to wash the BBK. the Site just says they are washable. soooo does that mean it doesnt need special oil?
