Anyone that has bought or has experience with Air Cleaners/Smoke Eaters I would love your help since I am trying to find a air cleaner.
My boyfriend smokes and to be respectful he is not going to smoke on the balcony at our condo anymore for the neighbors that don't smoke.
So I am trying to find a air cleaner/smoke eater that will allow him to smoke inside a small less than 600 sq. ft. condo?
I really just want it to get rid of the smoke when he is smoking so it doesn't go all over the place or out into the hallway. I also would like it to be quiet. And I only want to buy it from a good trusted company because I am sure it will cost a good amount and I don't want to waste money...
But if an air cleaner/smoke eater will get rid of the smoke and smell and allow him to smoke I will be more than happy to buy one!

If you read my question for people that actually wanted to answer my question you would of relized I am looking for an air cleaner for my boyfriend that smokes and I am sure Pot is not that much better to smoke but if it is I don't care because I don't even smoke!

First time using this, and it's because I'm desperate for help.
My Question is this:
My roomate who lives with me, always stays in his room (yes its terrible), and the thing is he often eats takeout in his room and doesnt throw it away right away, so it starts to smell up his room, and it leaks into the apartment. I've asked him to clean up more often but being in university, hes often busy which is understandable.
So I've tried the plug in air fresheners but I think MASKING the problem isn't effective as solving it. I want to know if anyone has any good recommendations for a machine that effectively eliminates ODORS as the top priority?
I'm a bit confused as to whether air cleaners / air purifiers actually tackle the odor issue as well? For example, the Surround Air XJ2100 or the Ionic Breeze. Most of these focus on cleaning the air from allergens etc., not really the ODOR in the air.
My 2 1/2 year old has asthma. So i need to buy a purifier for the room. Which one is the best kind? And I heard the Ozone kind are suppose to be bad for you, so I want to make sure I don't buy one of those. Please tell me your experience.
How about Sunbeam air cleaners. Has anyone ever heard of them? My husband has a really old one and says it will work find, but I don't know. I can't even find the model online.
