I need some contact cleaner to clean out the pots on my amp... recommended brands are stuff like Peavey's "Funk Out". When I searched up contact cleaner, it says it's just compressed air with a cleaning agent...
So could I begin with using basic compressed air like Memorex's "Non-Ozone Deplating Duster: Dust & Lint Remover" that would use for cleaning computer electrics?
ahh.. i read on you're supposed to use contact cleaner, THEN get that and the other gunk out with compressed air. suppose trying JUST compressed air at first wouldn't hurt though.

Even if you create a superdense micro black hole, how do you confine it and can you push it along wherever you want? Or will it take too much energy ? Will light be sucked in at the tip of the hose that you will have difficulty seeing? Ok, there are lot of practical problems... but?

Gas pours out of air box. I have cleaned the carbs and reinstalled. Will start and idle but eventually gas will run out the air box.

I live in a condominium in the middle of the city where the pollution is bad.
Should I buy a good air purifier/clear or should I buy a new air conditioner?
I need either of them turned on the whole day to really keep the dust and pollution under control.
The room is always closed but the dust and pollution finds its way inside.
I need to consider the electric bill... cant afford it to be too expensive.
Thanks

My air filter was inserted incorrectly and now dirt particles are stuck in the heat pump coils. I only have a 4" space to run a vacuum across the coils. Other than to remove the duct work, how would anyone clean these return coils? Seems very dirty and difficult to access.

We are buying an older home and though we are having the duct work and the central unit cleaned, I wanted to attach a whole house air purifier to it. UV lights-Hepa filters-electrostatic-combinations--my head is spinning! I need someone who really knows this stuff to tell me the truth. Help!!

It's in a classic car and the engine has been bored out to a 347 but the engine looks pretty out of place when you open the hood at a show. How can I keep the EFI and change the intake to look a little more symmetrical with a nice top mounted air cleaner?

I believe the route that I want to go is a hood intake over the machine that draws air up into a condenser of sorts, or something along those lines. I do not believe the cleaner dissolved in the water, and thus in the air, is worth recovering at this point.
The cleaner is Chemstation 4123 and is used for washing parts that are cut by other machines. The cleaner does have some corrosive properties, as the washmachines do have some rust. They are not stainless steel however, so I assume stainless steel to be preferrable (albeit more expensive, hence the washers being made of mild steel).
What kind of "hooded intake" would I use? Who provides such systems? I've been told by many that this is the route I should go, but I have no idea where to find a supplier/vendor of these vapor reduction/air quality control systems.
We had connected a vent to these machines in a past attempt at solving the air quality problem, and these drew the steam away from the machine and discharged it elsewhere, but it also sucked about 40 to 50 degrees of heat out of the machines. For this reason, I have been told a hood over each machine would be favorable. Please let me know if there are any particular makes, models, or even different forms of these...
...systems. Thanks.
The problem is that the machine is required to run at 140 deg. F or higher.
Also, the cleaner I am dealing with is completely water soluble. The cleaner itself is not a solvent. Since it is an aqueous solution, the oils from the parts separate and can be skimmed I believe.

I want a plant for my home office, it always seems so stuffy in there. I don't have a "green thumb", I always seem to water plants either too much or not enough, so I want something resilient. Also, barely any sunlight gets in there because I have blackout shades on the windows.
Any ideas?
Thanks!!

i've had some plants before that aren't just nice to look at, but it seemed that they made their surroundings more pleasant too. i'd prefer not to go the humidifier route, as they can be noisy and/or cause mold.
are there any house plants you could recommend to help keep indoor air clean and comfortable until the time comes when we can open the windows again? (also very important: they MUST not be toxic to pets!)
thanks, i'm breathing better already!

Recently got a dog and need an air filter to take care of any dander that is in the air. Any recommendations? Note: I wash the dog and clean the house but would like to invest in an air filter to keep the air clean. Also I love dogs and please do not post to get rid of it.
